Airport Blogging

I am feeling irritable and un-generous this morning. My patience tethered to a thin, fraying rope. So far, the American Airlines ticket-nazi has snapped at me and a lady behind me in the security line actually shoo’ed me. But then at the end of the beltway, she handed me my sandals by sticking her carefully manicured fingers right into the feet space. Which was oddly humbling.

I have an ominous fear that I will lose my passport. I keep checking it and panicking a little every time I pat myself down.

What is with me and blogging at airports.

So last night as I was packing, I found treasures—a suitcase full of old skirts and shawls. I used to be so stylish 4 years ago! They smell oldish, but they are still supremely pretty. I used to really like shiny, colorful stuff! Hey, and I still do:)

—- some while and planes later—

mmmm.. homestyle french fries, ketchup, spicy, tasty bean burger that is the size of my head… mmm.. I will blog some more soon, since I have HOURS before my flight. But I am feeling better. American Airlines didn’t serve us snacks and by the time we landed I was about to hallucinate from the hunger. All better now. Food is good:)

— Update — after some wandering around Newark Airport —-

I am tired. Eyes. Sleepy. Boingo hotspot made me download some bullshit file to get online. WTF. If my laptop dies again, I will roar. Loudly. In public.

I just found out that Bangalore shifted its airport to Devanahalli. I knew this already, but my brain only just registered it as “Need to Know” information. Sigh. This sucks—wherever devanahalli is, it’s far far away from where I need to go. And what’s this nonsense about paying Rs.1000 for the opportunity to use the airport? WTF #2. This is worse than when Bangaloreans demanded Rs.500 from loved ones who wanted to drag out the tear-stained good-bye, beta/ beti by entering the airport.

In other news, I bought a ‘I love NY’ skinny monkey from the duty-free shop. I sorta wish I hadn’t. Shrug.
