Activists Protest Condoleeza Rice

May 11, 2011

Is Condi really talking about how she finds the newspaper interesting or some such horse-shit? She sounds like the host of The View or something. Yuck. The slime is palpable.

I am relatively conservative in nature. In the sense that I would never normally “approve” of such disruptions and I would normally tend to believe that such actions stifle a kind of sincere dialogue around any issue. But. In the case of torture, with the Bush Administration and how appallingly little has happened to them, there seems to be no alternative, but to vocally and persistently demand accountability.

Here’s a year old footage of students doing something similar at Johns Hopkins—protesting Yoo.

History is filled with wars both just and unjust. If the wars the U.S. is currently involved in are seen as unjust, then it is not fair to simply point the finger at Bush or any other right wing figure. Facts show that since the left have controlled the U.S. goverment that the wars have continued. Torture? What is the difference between waterboarding a man or hitting his home with cruise missles, killing his family? People that attack only the “left” or the “right” and try to take higher ground to one side are only fools. Political leanings are a cirlce. You go to far left or right and you end up meeting the other side.
I’m sure you don’t see it that way… you are so far to one side that you can’t see that your blog is full of the very things that you seem outraged by.

History and blogs are filled with needless commentators. I simply do not care what you have to say.
